About the Head Pastor

Pastor John L. Wallace, the new resident pastor of International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Victory Temple in Virginia Beach, Virginia, assumed the position on January 21, 2022. He previously served under Pastor Anderson in various roles for five years until he became the assistant pastor in January 2020. He was called to preach Christ Jesus and the entire Bible. He faithfully communicates biblical concepts derived from and transmitted through a historical, grammatical, and literary study of a passage in its context, which the Holy Spirit first illuminates for him before he shares his revelations with the congregation. Like his favorite Apostle, Paul, his aim is summarized in 1 Corinthians 1:22-24:

“For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.”

Besides pastoral work, he leads spiritually, supports, and oversees the discipleship of members of the church. Before joining ICGC, he served in the Church of Pentecost Omaha Nebraska Assembly as the presiding Elder for the Omaha local assembly and the Kansas District as a Financial Secretary.

As a husband with two children, he has experienced over 18 years of continuous blessings from the Lord. Graduating from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Maritime and Supply Chain Management. A member of the Customs Brokers & International Freight Forwarders Association of Virginia, he took the difficult step to become a Licensed Customs Broker. He worked with CV International for three and a half years and then moved to STIHL Inc, where he has been serving as the import logistics specialist for the past two years and counting.
